Iron oxide (Fe₂O₃)

Iron oxide appears in many forms, e.g. Fe₂O₃, Fe₃O₄  and FeO. Iron oxide has many interesting properties, it is used as magnetic material in magnetic recording tapes, it is sensitive for visible light and as such can be used as photocatalyst.
